Purpose

NewMexicoPhotoGuide.com has taken over the function of the old PhotoArts Santa Fe web. The new site was created to promote photography and photographers, as well as other related businesses and organizations in New Mexico. We hope this site will also contribute to a sense of community among photographers and photo-business in the state.  A second purpose of the guide is to help visitors and new residents find photographic products, services and events of interest.

The photographers or organizations contributing to the guide maintain their own information. They may update text or swap images as often as needed.

Photo Resources provides a guide to photographers, businesses and various organizations specializing in photography.  Pull-down menus let users narrow their search, both geographically and to specific areas of interest.

Event Calendar provides information about up-coming photo events such as gallery openings, seminars, classes and meetings. Workshops, photo tours and field trips are also here. Again, pull-down menus let users narrow their search.

What’s New?
The appearance of NewMexicoPhotoGuide.com has changed and several new features have been added.  Included are:

• Each time the home page is opened it displays one of our member’s photographs, chosen at random. Everyone gets first page billing!
• Member photographers can now list each gallery that represents them, along with a hyperlink to any page on the gallery’s web site.
• A preference page allows users to specify their preferred search criteria (region, city, resource type, event type), as well as the number of listing they want to view per page.
